"No one within ten miles of a temple should go hungry.”

Food Distribution for the Needy

Anna Daan is not just about food — it is a sacred act of compassion and seva (selfless service). Rooted in Vedic tradition, it is considered the highest charity, as it sustains life, restores dignity, and opens the path to spiritual awakening.

Every day, we distribute over 10,000 freshly prepared, sattvic meals — free of cost — to the underprivileged, students, laborers, sadhus, and visitors. Our prasadam is made with love, purity, and devotion, sanctified by the Lord and served with folded hands and open hearts.

Why It Matters

In the heart of every soul lies a silent hunger—not just for food, but for love, care, and dignity. When we serve sanctified prasadam to someone in need, we’re not merely feeding the body—we’re reminding them that they are seen, valued, and embraced by divine grace. At ISKCON Gurugram, every meal shared is an act of compassion, a ripple of spiritual connection, and a chance to bring hope where it’s needed most. Because every plate matters. Every soul matters. And so does your contribution.

Anna Daan Seva

Anna daan is the act of donating food to the needy. In Vedic culture, it is considered one of the most pious and virtuous acts. Anna Daan is considered to be Mahadaan. It is believed that offering food to others is equivalent to offering it to God Himself.
The act of Anna Daan is also considered a form of seva, or selfless service, which helps one develop love and compassion towards all living beings.

Divine Words That Inspire Service

Bhagavad Gita 2.40

“In this endeavor of offering service to Lord Kṛṣṇa, you get eternal credit, and even a little service can protect one from the most dangerous fear.”

Message: Every act of devotion counts—no effort is ever lost in the eyes of the Lord.

Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.11.11

“As little Kṛṣṇa rushed toward the fruit vendor, the grains He carried slipped from His hands. Yet, she filled His hands with fruits—and her basket overflowed with jewels and gold.”

Message: When we give selflessly to Kṛṣṇa, we receive blessings beyond imagination.

Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.22.35

“It is the duty of every living being to perform welfare activities for the benefit of others—using life, wealth, intelligence, and words.”

Message: True fulfillment lies in service—through our actions, wealth, mind, and speech.
