Vigrah Seva (Deity Service)
According to the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam, Lord Krishna is non-different from His name, form, qualities, and pastimes. When a deity of Krishna—or His divine expansions like Rama, Narasimha, or Balarama—is properly installed and worshiped with devotion, the Lord personally accepts that service.
This is not idol worship—it is a sacred exchange. The deity is the spiritual form of the Lord, manifest out of His mercy to accept our love and devotion.
“The deity is not an idol but a spiritual form of the Lord, made accessible to us out of His mercy.”
— Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Madhya 5.95
